Wreaths Across America

I went with my dad to a cemetery in Florida for Wreaths Across America. It's an annual event where various patriotic organizations chip in to buy wreaths for military veterans' graves.
They start with a ceremony where a patriot sings all the patriotic songs. Then notable patriots hang a wreath on a stand for each branch of the military. Some retired lady colonel hung the wreath for the army. My dad hung the wreath for POWs. Then some patriotic trumpeter played taps.
After the ceremony and the wreath-laying the retired lady colonel approached my dad. Are you Harry Wilklow? Yes. Did you go to the army school of music? Yes. Then she turned to me. Are you Michael!?
Turns out the retired lady colonel was my godmother who I had never met. She was friends with my mom in the 80s when they both attended the army's school of music. I guess she gave up music for doctoring and had a long career in doctoring.
My dad gave up music for counterintelligence and had a pretty long career in the army himself. He chased Osama Bin Laden before he was (as) famous and he traded suits with a Russian spy named lefty.
I guess I gave up music for computer programming? Blogging to no one from random hotels in Texas?
