Fleeing The Zombie Apocalypse

Downtown Seattle looks like a zombie apocalypse. Bubblegum alley is deserted. The Amazon spheres sit empty. The only people on the streets are the ones who live there, in tents and under bridges.
Bartenders serve themselves and are their only customers. Hairdressers watch videos on their phones and stare out the windows at an idle city.
Will this be every major city a month from now? Hard to say. Everybody seems to think that the virus will die out in April, because that's typically the end of flu season. But if heat kills the virus, then how did it spread in L.A. and Florida?
After an initial two rounds of emails from Amazon reminding us that working from home is a privilege and we couldn't avoid the office without clearing it with management (I did anyway), the company finally capitulated and told us all we could work remote throughout March. So I'm off to Mexico.
Could be that in a few weeks the playas of Mexico will be as flu-ridden as the retirement homes of King County. I don't know what I'll do in that case. Keep drinking micheladas in the sun and hope for the best I guess.
Anyway, I hope through some miracle or nightmare (miracle preferred) I never need return to the Amazon campus of South Lake Union. I was thinking I'd wait until July to quit but maybe I'll just work remote until they fire me. Now there's an idea!
